2k Games to release Spec Ops title based on Dubai?

Video depicts post apocalyptic Dubai.

A mysterious new video has emerged of a special spec ops game based on a post apocalyptic Dubai. The Burj Al Arab, Burj Dubai and the Twin Towers are clearly visible in the video. Strangely, no publisher/developer logos appear in the video.

Stay tuned while we get official word soon. Meanwhile, here are the videos.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it ll be banned in the UAE…how could the locals bear to see their beautiful country reduced to dust? Maybe they should have just based the game in New York or Paris or something so that I could actually get to play it.

I saw a write up regarding this title in Xpress this week, some people are panning the game because it portrays Dubai in ruins.. And?

How many times have we strolled through ruined US or European cities in our gaming lives? It’s fantasy and the lines here are not even remotely blurred. Recount the number of famous cities and monuments that were destroyed in movies such as Independence Day, Deep Impact, 2012..

It will be great to see and explore familiar landmarks in a fantasy setting.

Well to be honest! I work for the CIA and they said that Dubai is the Next target after Iran! So this game was actually a training stimulation for the marines to practice before hand! And the marines who will fight this war are now aged 14 ~ 17 so by the next 4 years this is not a fantasy but a reality!

Can’t wait to get my hands on this game!
